Our Programs Work

“Profound. We would never have been able to achieve the level of listening and spoken language that our child has without WCC. WCC has the best DHH teachers and therapists and their parent teacher model is critical for equipping parents to teach their children around the clock.”

Parent of Weingarten Student

“WCC gave our son the chance to hear and listen. His receptive language and ability to connect with others, enjoy music and movies, read books -- all of that world opened up to him. One of his favorite things to do is dance, all of that thanks to WCC.”

Parent of a Weingarten Alumni Student

“Apart from excellent spoken language, my child learned key life skills like confidence, compassion and self advocacy at WCC that helped share her character and continue to contribute to her success and make her a kind and charming human with a strong desire to give back.”

Parent of a Weingarten Alumni Student

“Life-changing! WCC helped my daughter develop beautiful spoken language, appropriate social and cognitive skills to transition to mainstream school and adapt smoothly to a noisy regular hearing environment.”

Parent of a Weingarten Alumni Student

“WCC had a huge positive impact on our daughter’s life for the following reasons: 1) When our daughter was first identified, we received a lot of support from the school’s staff and community. 2) She received the best of care from the amazing teachers and therapists, who taught her how to listen through her CIs, advanced her cognitive skills and worked very hard on her receptive language and even harder on the expressive. 3) WCC taught us as a family how to best support our deaf child at home and how to advocate for her. 4) Morning Music taught our daughter to be comfortable on a stage and in front of a crowd :)”

“Great program! Thank you for doing this for all of the families!”

Mother and Talk2Me™ Pilot Tester

“TeachLSL provided an excellent alternative to attending preschool in person for my children as the world emerged from COVID during the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to helping my children strengthen their capacity to listen, speak, and learn with LSL methodologies, the TeachLSL program provided a wonderful platform for them to engage in traditional preschool skills such as expanding their vocabulary, developing relationships with their teacher and peers, and social skills such as turn taking. My children are now attending WCC’s in person preschool program, and have been able to seamlessly integrate into the classroom in part thanks to their participation in TeachLSL last year.”

TeachLSL™ Family

"I’m so grateful for TeachLSL, they have helped my daughter and me in countless ways. I’ve learned how to support her at home and become a better advocate for her at school. TeachLSL provides continual guidance to my daughter's IEP team so she may continue to reach her language and educational goals."

TeachLSL™ Family

“We had no idea whether our son would verbally communicate or not in the beginning. We found an excellent balance and clarity using the BabyTalk approach and everything our therapist suggested. She listened, she knew other aspects of the process including IEPs, and simply how to effectively talk about our needs with various therapists and audiologists over the 3 years. Through our work together our son is communicating. We will forever be grateful for our experience and the skills we learned from your program.”

BabyTalk Family

“When we started BabyTalk I had only seen one child with hearing loss in our community it was very isolating! Being part of BabyTalk helped us understand that there are other children with hearing loss out there.”

BabyTalk Family

“We know we always can count on our therapist to answer any concerns. We know our child is important to her. She also knows many kids are like our child and this really helps us.”
